The vocational Training system
The vocational training system in the army lies within the scope of the participation of the ministry of national defense in the national effort to develop the human resources of the country and to reinforce the employability, while allowing the young recruits and the civilian trainees to acquire qualifications and aptitudes in specialties required by the labor market.
The vocational training includes three programs:
- Professional training program for two years in several specialties intended to the candidates of the elementary school level and more,
- Vocational Training program going from nine months to two years in specialties requested by the labor market, intended to the candidates of the basic school level and more,
- Practice training courses in the speciality, intended to the graduates of the higher education level, provided the regularization of the situation in respect of national service for boys.
The vocational training in the ministry of national defense began in 1965 by professional training courses in the branches and workshops of the army.
